ABSTRAKPenelitian ini menganalisis hasil terjemahan nama diri khususnya nama tokoh dannama geografis yang diterapkan dalam novel terjemahan Winnetou I: Kepala SukuApache. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk memaparkan hasil penerjemahandilihat dari aspek morfosemantis. Data dianalisis berdasarkan teori jenispenerjemahan Larson, teori metode penerjemahan nama diri Krüger danNewmark, teori proses morfologis Djoko Kentjono dan Fleischer/Barz, serta jenismakna Blanke. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif komparatif.Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa metode penerjemahanyang paling banyak diterapkan adalah mempertahankan bentuk asli. Selain itu,jenis makna yang terdapat dalam terjemahan adalah makna referensial, asosiatif,afektif, dan situatif.

ABSTRACTThis study discusses the translation of proper names, more precisely the names ofpersons and geographical names in the novel Winnetou I: Kepala Suku Apache.The aim of this study is to explain the results of the translation frommorphosemantics’ perspectives. The analysis uses the theory of translation type ofLarson, the proper names’ translation methods by Krüger and Newmark, the wordformations by Djoko Kentjono and Fleischer/Barz, and the meaning types byBlanke. This is a qualitative-comparative research. The result shows that theretention is the most used method. Referential, assosiative, affective, and situativemeaning are the meanings that mostly appear in the text.
