Skripsi ini membahas pemikiran kaum nasionalis kiri, tentang kebudayaan dalam sebuah rubrik di Bintang Timur yang bernama ?Lentera. Skripsi ini mengambilperiodisasi tahun 1962-1965. Tahun 1962 adalah awal mula munculnya lembarankebudayaan Lentera, sedangkan 1965 merupakan tahun ketika Bintang Timurdibredel oleh pemerintah akibat G30S. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwapemikiran dalam Lentera dipengaruhi oleh semangat rezim Demokrasi Terpimpinyang menjalankan politik sebagai panglima, dan kebudayaan sebagai salah satu bidang yang diperhatikan. Hal ini memperlihatkan memperlihatkan bahwa Lentera adalah salah satu pihak yang konsisten dalam mendukung konsepsi politikPresiden Soekarno.

ABSTRACT
The focus of this study is The left Nationalist thought, about culture in Bintang Timur?s rubric ?Lentera?. The period of the study is between 1962-1965. In 1962, Lentera was started and 1965 was the time when Bintang Timur was banned bythe government as a result of G30S. The result of this study shows that thethought in Lentera was influenced by the spirit of the Guided Democracy regime,who run ?politics as commander? and culture as one of the concerning area.
