ABSTRAKPenelitian ini meneliti hubungan antara system justifying belief, belief in a just world dan ideologi konservatif terhadap subjective well-being pada buruh outsourcing. Sebanyak 321 buruh outsourcing yang sedang dipekerjakan di perusahaan berpartisipasi dalam penelitian ini dengan mengisi satu set kuesioner. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan system justifying belief, belief in a just world dan ideologi konservatif berkorelasi secara positif dan signifikan terhadap aspek kognitif subjective well-being. Semakin tinggi keyakinan terhadap system justifying belief, belief in a just world dan ideologi konservatif semakin tinggi pula aspek kognitif subjective well-being buruh outsourcing. Sedangkan aspek afektif subjective well-being tidak ditemukan berkorelasi. Hal ini disebabkan pengukuran aspek afektif lebih dipengaruhi kepribadian individu. Secara tidak langsung penelitian ini dapat menggambarkan fungsi paliatif dari ideologi dalam membantu meringankan kelompok tak beruntung (status ekonomi rendah) dalam menghadapi ketidaksetaraan sehingga mereka yang tidak diuntungkan oleh sistem tetap mengakui perbedaan sosial ekonomi adalah sah dan adil (mendukung status quo). Penelitian-penelitian selanjutnya disarankan untuk memberi perhatian besar pada pengembangan dan pembuatan model subjective well-being dengan menambah beberapa variabel yang mungkin dapat lebih memperkuat hubungan antara system justifying belief, belief in a just world dan ideologi konservatif terhadap subjective well-being.

ABSTRAKThis study examined the relationship between the system justifying belief, belief in a just world and conservative ideology on subjective well-being of the labor outsourcing. A total of 321 labors, who work in companies, participated in this study by completing a set of questionnaires. The results showed system justifying belief, belief in a just world and the conservative ideology has a significant and positive correlation to the cognitive aspects of subjective well-being. Meanwhile, belief in a just world and conservative ideology also have correlate to positive affect of subjective well-being. It means the higher the belief in system justifying belief, belief in a just world and the conservative ideology cause higher cognitive aspects of subjective well-being of labor outsourcing. While the affective aspects of subjective well-being was not found correlated. This is because the measurement of the affective aspects is more influenced by individual personality. Indirectly these studies also describe the palliative function of ideology in helping to alleviate the disadvantaged groups (low economic status) in facing of inequality, so they preserved the belief that existing social arrangement are fair, legitimate and justifable. Finally, further research is recommended to give greater attention to the development and modeling of subjective well-being by adding some variables that might justify further strengthen the relationship between system justifying belief, belief in a just world and conservative ideology on subjective well-being.
