karya fasad.
ABSTRACTTransparency has been used as an instrument of design by several architects in the
past by the likes of Le Corbusier and IM Pei. Phenomenal Transparency is a way to
convey multiplication of meaning in the façade to create a dialogue between the
observer and the building. The study of phenomenal transparency is inseparable from
the understanding of façade, whether a contextual or autonomous façade. A façade,
along perception with Phenomenal Transparency embedded, is expected to stimulate
visually with its overlapping figures and interpenetrating elements. The process of
dissection begins with identifying transparency, visual depth, and regulating lines of a
project in the form of formal analysis. Formal analyses are drawn from Le
Corbusier?s Villa Garches, both subjectively and objectively. The formal analyses,
later on the process, set the ground rules regarding the proportion, rhythm, depth, and
architectural pattern that later will define the artistry and mathematical ingenuity of
the façade produced for an architectural mixed use building in Perth, Australia., Transparency has been used as an instrument of design by several architects in the
