[ABSTRAKDaun waru merupakan tanaman yang memiliki aktivitas pertumbuhan rambut. Pada penelitian ini, sediaan mikroemulsi yang dibuat mengandung 7,5% ekstrak daun waru dengan klorofil dan tanpa klorofil. Penghilangan klorofil pada daun waru diharapkan dapat meningkatkan estetika sediaan, akan tetapi dalam penelitian ini sediaan mikroemulsi ekstrak daun waru dengan klorofil maupun tanpa klorofil memiliki warna sediaan yang sama. Uji stabilitas fisik kedua formula dilakukan dengan metode cycling test, uji sentrifugasi, dan penyimpanan pada tiga suhu yang berbeda: suhu rendah (4±2oC), suhu kamar (28±2oC), dan suhu tinggi (40±2oC). Uji aktivitas pertumbuhan rambut dilakukan pada kelinci jantan putih dengan pengukuran panjang rambut pada hari ke-7, 14, dan 21, dan penimbangan bobot rambut pada hari ke-21. Uji keamanan dilakukan pada lengan dalam bagian atas sukarelawan. Uji stabilitas fisik menghasilkan kedua formula stabil. Sediaan mikroemulsi ekstrak daun waru dengan klorofil konsentrasi 7,5% memiliki aktivitas pertumbuhan rambut paling besar. Semua formula mikroemulsi tidak menimbulkan efek iritasi.

, Hibiscus tiliaceus, Linn. leaves are a plant having affect on hair growth. In this

research, the microemulsion preparations are made containing 7.5% extracts

Hibiscus tiliaceus, L. leaves with chlorophyll and without chlorophyll. The

removal of chlorophyll in the Hibiscus tiliaceus, L. leaves is expected to improve

the aesthetics of the preparation, but in this research the microemulsion contains

extracts Hibiscus tiliaceus, L. leaves with and without chlorophyll has the same

color preparations. Physical stability test are performed using methods cycling

test, centrifugation test, and keeping in three different temperatures: low

temperature (4 ± 2°C), room temperature (28 ± 2°C) and high temperature (40 ±

2°C). The hair growth activity is executed on some white male rabbits were by

hair length measurements on day 7, 14, and 21, and total weights of hair on day

21. Irritation test is done on the upper hands volunteers. Physical stability test has

resulted both of formulas was stable. The microemulsion contains extracts

Hibiscus tiliaceus, L. leaves with chlorophyll in concentration of 7.5% has the

greatest hair growth activity. All of the microemulsion formulas do not cause
