Di Indonesia, terdapat proses perkenalan sebelum menikah yang diatur berdasarkan nilai-nilai agama Islam, yaitu ta?aruf. Ta?aruf memiliki beberapa aturan tertentu, seperti adanya batasan durasi saat ta?aruf, interaksi pria dan wanita yang tidak boleh bersentuhan, dan harus dimediatori oleh pihak tertentu selama menjalani prosesnya. Individu yang menjalani proses ta?aruf diketahui merupakan individu yang mempunyai tingkat religiositas yang tinggi. Berdasarkan beberapa litelatur, religiositas memiliki hubungan yang positif dengan stabilitas pernikahan. Peneliti menduga bahwa tingkat religiositas yang tinggi pada individu yang menikah melalui ta?auruf juga akan memiliki hubungan yang positif dengan stabilitas perikahan. Maka, peneliti melakukan penelitian yang melihat hubungan antara religiositas dan stabilitas pernikahan pada 100 individu yang menikah melalui ta?aruf. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan positif yang signifikan antara religiositas dan stabilitas pernikahan pada individu yang menikah melalui ta?aruf (r = 0.170, p < 0.05, one tailed).
In Indonesia, there is an acquaintanceship process before marriage regulated based on values of Islam, namely ta'aruf. Ta'aruf has some specific rules, such as limitation of ta?aruf duration, no physical contacts allowed during interaction between men and women, and the couples should be mediated by other party along the process. Individuals who practice ta'aruf process known as individuals who have a high level of religiosity. Based on some literatures, religiosity has a positive relationship with marital stability. Researcher speculated that high level of religiosity on individuals who are married through ta?aruf will also have a positive relationship with marital stability. Thus, researcher conducted a study to see the relationship between religiosity and marital stability in 100 individuals who are married through ta?aruf. The results showed that there is a significant positive relationship between religiosity and marital stability (r = 0170, p < 0.05, one-tailed).
