Pihak manajemen seringkali kurang memperdulikan aspek persepsi dalampenilaian kinerja. Padahal, persepsi dapat menyebabkan reaksi negatif yangberpotensi menggagalkan tujuan penilaian kinerja. Penelitian ini bertujuanuntuk mengetahui dampak diskonfirmasi ekpektasi terhadap keadilanprosedural, kepuasan terhadap nilai EDOM, sebagai nilai kinerja, dankepuasan terhadap mahasiswa yang memberikan nilai EDOM, sebagai penilaikinerja. Metode eksperimen digunakan dalam studi ini dengan melibatkan 37dosen Fakultas Ekonomi Universitas Indonesia Kampus Baru Depok sebagairesponden. Penelitian ini menemukan bahwa diskonfirmasi negatifmemberikan dampak negatif terhadap keadilan prosedural, kepuasan terhadapnilai EDOM, dan kepuasan terhadap penilai EDOM. Juga sebaliknya ketikadiskonfirmasi bersifat positif, keadilan prosedural, kepuasan terhadap nilaiEDOM, dan kepuasan terhadap penilai EDOM juga mendapat dampak positif.Penelitian ini juga menemukan bahwa keadilan prosedural, kepuasan terhadapnilai EDOM, dan kepuasan terhadap penilai EDOM memiliki korelasi yangpositif.

It is not rare for management to dismiss the issue of employee’s perception onthe performance appraisal, though negative perception can potentially thwartthe purpose of performance appraisal. This study aims to explore thedisconfirmation effect on perception of procedural justice, satisfaction towardrating, and satisfaction toward rater. Experiment method is chosen for thisstudy and 37 lecturers of FEUI Depok are involved. This study found thatdisconfirmation affects perception of procedural justice, satisfaction towardrating, and satisfaction toward rater positively. Thus, when thedisconfirmation is positive, the three variables are also positively affected,while when the disconfirmation is negative, the three variables are alsonegatively affected. This study also found that perception of proceduraljustice, satisfaction toward rating, and satisfaction toward rater are positivelyrelated.
