Penelitian ini membahas sistem pengendalian yang dilakukan oleh organisasi nirlaba. Berbeda dengan organisasi komersial, keberhasilan organisasi nirlaba dinilai dari program-program yang telah dilakukan untuk kepentingan publik. Dibutuhkan sebuah sistem pengendalian yang tepat agar organisasi nirlaba dapat menjalankan programnya dengan efektif dan efisien agar dana yang dimiliki dapat digunakan secara maksimal dan menjaga keberlangsungan organisasi. Analisis yang dilakukan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan model Levers of Control yang pertama kali dikembangkan oleh Robert Simons. Levers of Control mengintegrasikan keempat sistem yaitu beliefs system, boundary system, diagnostic control system, dan interactive control system dalam pencapaian strategi organisasi. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode studi kasus dengan SEAMEO Biotrop sebagai objek penelitian. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa penerapan levers of control pada organisasi nirlaba belum sepenuhnya dilakukan dikarenakan beberapa aspek dari organisasi nirlaba itu sendiri.

This research discussess management control system implementation on nonprofit organization. Unlike profit organization, non-profit organization assessed its success by program that is done for public. The proper control system is needed to keep the organization doing its strategy efficient and effectively so that they can used its funds optimally. The analysis conducted in this research uses the levers of control framework which was first developed by Robert Simons. Levers of control integrates the four systems which are beliefs systems, boundary systems, diagnostic control systems, and interactive control systems to successfully achieve the organizations strategy. This research is a case study where SEAMEO Biotrop serves as the object of this research.
