Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan dari parentification dan contingencies of self worth pada remaja berstatus sosial ekonomi rendah. Penelitian ini merupakan studi korelasional dan menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif. Penelitian ini melibatkan 177 orang sebagai partisipan yang berada pada usia remaja (12-19 tahun). Parentification didefinisikan sebagai pertukaran peran (tanggung jawab) antara orang tua dan anak-anak, sementara self worth didefinisikan sebagai harga diri yang didasarkan pada domain-domain dalam kehidupan yang dipercaya sebagai aspek penting dalam membangun kepercayaan diri individu. Variabel parentification diukur dengan menggunakan Parentification Inventory, dan variabel Self Worth diukur dengan menggunakan Contingencies of Self Worth Scales. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara parentification dan contingencies of self worth (r = 0.291, p <0.001). Hal ini berarti bahwa terdapat hubungan positif antara variabel parentification dan contingencies of self worth.

This study aims to determine the relationship between parentification and contingencies of self-worth in adolescents of low socioeconomic status. This study is a correlational study and using quantitative approach. The study involved 177 people as participants who are in their teens (12-19 years). Parentification is defined as the exchange of roles (responsibilities) between parents and children, while self-worth is defined as the self-esteem that is based on domains in life is believed to be an important aspect in building confidence. Parentification measured using Parentification Inventory by Hooper, and Self Worth was measured using Contingencies of Self Worth Scales. The results showed that there is a significant relationship between parentification and contingencies of selfworth (r = 0.291, p < 0.01). This means that there is a positive relationship between the parentification and contingencies of self worth.
