Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi berbagai permasalahan yang melibatkan remaja wanita. Diantaranya kasus kehamilan di usia remaja, aborsi yang tidak aman serta
penikahan dini. Sebagai langkah antisipasi mengatasi permasalahan remaja ini pemerintah mengembangkan program generasi berencana dalam rangka penyiapan kehidupan berkeluarga bagi remaja. Penelitian ini dilakukan
menggunakan konsep teori perkembangan kognitif Jean Piaget dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa masing-masing remaja memiliki proses belajar tersendiri dalam pembentukan makna penyiapan kehidupan berkeluarga. Selain itu hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa lingkungan sosial budaya, buku bacaan dan ajaran agama yang diyakini serta keikutsertaan dalam
organisasi/kelompok/komunitas memiliki kontribusi besar pada proses belajar di masing-masing remaja.
This research was led by the problems involving adolescents young girls. Including cases of pregnancy in teens, unsafe abortion and early marriage. In anticipation of those problems, Indonesian Government develop a program called “Generasi Berencana” (Generation Planning Program) in order to prepare the adolescents as well as to rise their awareness of family life planning. This research was conducted using the concept of Jean Piaget’s theory of cognitive development
with qualitative approach. The result showed that each of the adolescent have their own learning process in constructing the meaning of family life planning. In addition, the result of this research also indicates that socio-cultural environment, reading books, their religious conviction, as well as participation in organisation/groups/communities become their media of information that has a great contribution in their learning process.
