[ABSTRAK
Tesis ini membahas tentang analisis terhadap proses pendaftaran Desain Industri Tempat Bedak Dua Kamar Opal. Penulis berusaha untuk mengupas tentang kendala yang ditemukan dalam implementasi Undang-Undang-Nomor 31 Tahun 2000, yang memiliki potensi untuk menimbulkan sengketa Desain Industri. Selanjutnya penulis akan mengkaji tentang penerapan syarat kebaruan dalam suatu pemeriksaan Desain Industri, telah diterapkan sepenuhnya oleh pengadilan niaga. Dengan data-data yang disajikan, penulis akan mengkaji apakah putusan Pengadilan Niaga pada kasus Tempat Bedak Dua Kamar Opal sudah sesuai dengan prinsip dan asas yang terkandung dalam Undang-Undang Nomor 31 Tahun 2000 tentang Desain Industri dan TRIPs
