Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menentukan critical waste pada suatu proses produksi, serta mengeliminasi secara sistematis guna meningkatkan kinerja dan kapasitas untuk memenuhi peningkatan permintaan dengan menggunakan metode Value Stream Mapping (VSM) dan Waste Assessment Model (WAM). Berdasarkan hasil analisis didapatkan tiga rekomendasi perbaikan yaitu penggunaan electronis kanban untuk mengontorl inventory di gudang penyimpanan material packaging, perancangan mesin pelipat kardus otomatis, dan modifikasi rol sebagai sarana transportasi barang finish good. Hasil evaluasi rekomendasi didapatkan perbaikan pada lini produksi berupa peningkatan kapasitas produksi menjadi 7189,54 box per hari, penurunan production lead time menjadi 154 detik, dan efisiensi man power sebanyak 2 orang.

This study aimed to determine the critical waste in a manufacturing process, as well as eliminating systematically to improve the performance and capacity to meet increased demand by using Value Stream Mapping (VSM) and the Waste Assessment Model (WAM). Based on the analysis we found three recommendations for improvement, namely the use of electronis kanban inventory control in warehouses for storage of packaging materials, automatic carton folding machine design, and modification of rollers for transportation of goods good finish. The evaluation results showed that improvements recommendations on the production line by increasing production capacity to 7189.54 box per day, a decrease in production lead time to 154 seconds, and the efficiency of man power by 2 people.
