Suatu organisasi memerlukan infrastruktur teknologi informasi (TI) untuk mendukung kebijakan sistem informasi diatasnya sebagai bagian dari peningkatan keunggulan kompetitif organisasi tersebut. Dalam pemenuhan keunggulan kompetitif organisasi, TI dituntut sejalan dan mampu mendukung (support) bahkan diharapkan menjadi pendorong (key enabler) bisnis. Kebutuhan bisnis sendiri bergerak lebih dinamis dan selayaknya mampu diikuti oleh infrastruktur TI. Perusahaan PT XYZ adalah salah satu korporasi terkemuka tingkat nasional bidang jasa dan produk TI yang telah mengimplementasikan infrastruktur teknologi informasi untuk mendukung proses bisnis.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membangun rancangan infrastruktur TI yang bersifat adaptif sebagai sebuah enterprise architecture berdasarkan kerangka kerja The Open Group Architecture Framework (TOGAF) Architecture Development Menthod (ADM) pada organisasi dimana penelitian dilakukan. Konsep penelitian yang dilakukan adalah kualitatif melalui studi literatur dan pengumpulan data melalui wawancara serta observasi.Enterprise architecture yang dibangun pada penelitian adalah representasi arsitektur bisnis, arsitektur data, arsitektur aplikasi dan arsitektur teknologi dipandu oleh prinsip-prinsip yang diinginkan oleh organisasi. Pada arsitektur bisnis disimpulkan perlu penerapan tata kelola TI. Arsitektur data mengusulkan pemanfaatan tingkat lanjut terhadap aset data yang dimiliki perusaahan untuk menunjang pencapaian bisnis dan pada bagian arsitektur aplikasi menghasilkan beberapa usulan peningkatan atau implementasi aplikasi baru berdasar identifikasi masalah yang ditemukan. Di bagian arsitektur teknologi, untuk mendukung konsep infrastruktur yang adaptif, penelitian merekomendasikan penerapan infrastruktur berbasis layanan dengan virtualisasi, penggunaan layanan cloud computing dan unified communication.

Data architecture proposes the use of advanced data assets owned perusaahan to support the achievement of business and on the application architecture produces some of the proposed improvement or implementation of new applications based on the identification of problems found.
