Serta peranan teknologi informasi dapat menjadikan perusahaan memiliki kemampuan dalam bersaing serta keunggulan dalam bersaing (competitive advantages). Untuk mendapatkan hasil penerapan teknologi informasi yang optimal diperlukan suatu framework pengembangan teknologi informasi. Pengembangan teknologi informasi diperoleh melalui perencanaan teknologi informasi yang bersifat menyeluruh dan terintegrasi dalam bentuk arsitektur enterprise. Dalam pengembangan arsitektur enterprise dibutuhkan alat bantu berupa enterprise architecture framework. TOGAF ADM merupakan enterprise architecture framework yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini. Metode TOGAF ADM memberikan hasil berupa arsitektur enterprise dalam bentuk arsitektur bisnis, arsitektur aplikasi, arsitektur data dan arsitektur teknologi. Rancangan arsitektur enterprise ini dapat dijadikan sebagai pedoman atau blue-print perusahaan untuk perancangan dan pengembangan teknologi informasi.

In the development of enterprise architecture takes the form of enterprise architecture tools framework. TOGAF ADM is an enterprise architecture framework used in this study. TOGAF ADM method gives results in the form of enterprise architecture in the form of business architecture, application architecture, data architecture and technology architecture. The design of the enterprise architecture can be used as a guide or blueprint for the company's design and development of information technology.
