ABSTRAK
Prinsip-prinsip perlindungan benda budaya pada masa konflik bersenjata merupakanprinsip-prinsip lama yang telah dikodifikasikan dalam berbagai ketentuan hukumperang dan hukum humaniter internasional yang saat ini berlaku seperti Convention(IV) respecting to the Laws and Customs of War on Land 1907 dan The HagueConvention for the Protection of the Cultural Property in the Event of Armed Conflict1954. Prinsip-prinsip yang tercantum dalam ketentuan-ketentuan hukum tersebutdiaplkasikan dalam berbagai lembaga-lembaga peradilan internasional seperti TheInternational Criminal Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia.(ICTY) Salah satu kasusyang ditangani ICTY adalah kasus Jadranko Prlic et al yang berkaitan denganpenghancuran benda budaya Stari Most di Mostar, Bosnia-Herzegovina.

ABSTRACT
The principles of the protection of cultural property during armed conflict is anold principles that have been codified in various provisions of the laws of war andinternational humanitarian law currently in force such as the Convention (IV)respecting to the Laws and Customs of War on Land in 1907 and The HagueConvention for the Protection of the Cultural Property in the Event of ArmedConflict, 1954. The principles set forth in the provisions of the law in variousinternational judicial institutions such as the International Criminal Tribunal forthe Former Yugoslavia (ICTY). One of the cases handled by the ICTY is JadrankoPrlic et al case relating to the destruction of cultural property Stari Most inMostar, Bosnia-Herzegovina.
