[ABSTRAKPada masa sekarang ini profesi pustakawan masih belum sepenuhnya mendapat tempat di hati masyarakat kita. Banyak yang beranggapan bahwa profesi pustakawan adalah profesi yang tidak perlu memiliki pendidikan khusus, dan dapat dilakukan oleh siapa saja. Namun tidak demikian dengan pustakawan yang bernama Flynn Carsen. Adanya keahlian-keahlian khusus yang dimiliki olehnya, menjadikan Flynn sebagai pustakawan yang dihargai keberadaannya. Melalui pendekatan kuantitatif, maka hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa persepsi positif yang dimiliki oleh penonton terhadap profesi pustakawan dalam film The Librarian: Quest for The Spear disebabkan karena keahlian-keahlian yang dimiliki oleh si pustakawan baiksecara profesional maupun personalnya. Adanya penilaian positif ini timbul dikarenakan faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi seperti pengalaman individual yang dimiliki oleh penonton, target dari persepsi yang dalam hal ini adalah profesi pustakawan itu sendiri, serta situasi ketika persepsi itu timbul.
