[Pada masa sekarang ini profesi pustakawan masih belum sepenuhnya mendapattempat di hati masyarakat kita. Banyak yang beranggapan bahwa profesi pustakawanadalah profesi yang tidak perlu memiliki pendidikan khusus, dan dapat dilakukanoleh siapa saja. Namun tidak demikian dengan pustakawan yang bernama FlynnCarsen. Adanya keahlian-keahlian khusus yang dimiliki olehnya, menjadikan Flynnsebagai pustakawan yang dihargai keberadaannya. Melalui pendekatan kuantitatif,maka hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa persepsi positif yang dimiliki olehpenonton terhadap profesi pustakawan dalam film The Librarian: Quest for TheSpear disebabkan karena keahlian-keahlian yang dimiliki oleh si pustakawan baiksecara profesional maupun personalnya. Adanya penilaian positif ini timbuldikarenakan faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi seperti pengalaman individual yangdimiliki oleh penonton, target dari persepsi yang dalam hal ini adalah profesipustakawan itu sendiri, serta situasi ketika persepsi itu timbul, At this time the librarian profession still has not fully captured the hearts of oursociety.
