Mencari informasi melalui internet baik melalui media sosial mau pun portal berita online menjadi kebutuhan mayoritas masyarakat perkotaan tak terkecuali anak muda. Banyaknya informasi yang beredar membutuhkan keberagaman dalam pengemasannya. Inilah yang mendorong kemunculan situs-situs penyedia informasi yang menyasar anak muda, seperti Nyunyu.com. Situs ini memasukkan unsur budaya pop ke dalam berbagai topik artikel yang dimuat termasuk topik serius dan aktual. Dengan analisis kualitatif terhadap konten berita “Kenaikan Harga BBM” di Nyunyu.com, makalah ini berargumen mengenai unsur budaya pop yang masuk ke dalam penyajian berita. Dari hasil observasi online, ditemukan terdapat unsur budaya pop yang sengaja dimasukkan ke dalam konten artikel sesuai dengan target pasar.

Seeking information through internet either from social media or news portal is now becoming one of the primary needs among the majority of urban societies, including youngsters. The excessive number of information need various treatments. This phenomenon is one of the causes of the emergence of websites that targeted youngsters as their audience such as Nyunyu.com. This website utilises pop culture in their articles even if it is a serious or actual topic. Using qualitative analysis to one of its content, “The Rise of Fuel Prices”, I argue about pop culture becomes part of article writing or other content production. As I have observed, there are some evidences that pop culture is being included in the article based on the targeted market.
