Makalah ini membahas tentang bagaimana konvergensi media mendorong munculnya metode backpack journalism. Metode ini kemudian menyebar ke belahan negara dunia lain, termasuk Indonesia. Dalam makalah ini, penulis melakukan studi kasus pada KBR68H yang tadinya bergerak di radio dan mulai menerapkan konvergensi dengan meluncurkan PortalKBR.com pada tahun 2010. Penulis akan menjelaskan bagaimana metode ini membantu KBR68H dalam hal peliputan dan konvergensi media yang mereka lakukan dan juga kendala yang dialami untuk menerapkan metode ini.

ABSTRACT

This paper will explain how media convergence encourage backpack journalism to be a popular method. This method spreading to the other side of the world, including Indonesia. In this paper, the writer do some case studying on KBR68H which is a radio and started to apply media convergence since 2010.
