Pemerintah bertanggung jawab dalam pembangunan kesehatan, yaitu merencanakan, mengatur, menyelenggarakan, membina, dan mengawasi penyelenggaraan upaya kesehatan yang merata dan terjangkau oleh masyarakat agar tercapai derajat kesehatan yang setinggi-tingginya. Rencana Strategis Kementerian Kesehatan periode 2010 – 2014 mengamanatkan Program Kefarmasian dan Alat Kesehatan untuk dapat meningkatkan ketersediaan, pemerataan, dan keterjangkauan obat dan alat kesehatan serta menjamin keamanan atau khasiat, kemanfaatan, dan mutu sediaan farmasi, alat kesehatan, dan makanan. Praktik Kerja Profesi Apoteker (PKPA) di Direktorat Jenderal Bina Kefarmasian dan Alat Kesehatan bertujuan untuk memahami tugas Direktorat Jenderal Bina Kefarmasian dan Alat Kesehatan Kementerian Kesehatan RI, khususnya di Direktorat Bina Produksi dan Distribusi Kefarmasian serta memahami peran profesi apoteker dalam melaksanakan pekerjaan kefarmasian di Direktorat Jenderal Bina Kefarmasian dan Alat Kesehatan Kementerian Kesehatan RI, khususnya di Direktorat Bina Produksi dan Distribusi Kefarmasian. Sedangkan tujuan dari tugas khusus adalah memahami pembuatan dan penyajian leaflet dan booklet dan membuat media komunikasi berbentuk leaflet dan booklet sebagai sarana penyebaran informasi mengenai makanan sehat yang ditujukan untuk masyarakat umum.
