The objective of this econometric study is to investigate the structural changes of mineral sectors. It is the condition when the domination of metallic minerals have been replaced by non metallic minerals. The Zivot and Andrews structural break has applied to test the time and intercept break in annual production data of total mineral, industrial minerals, and some selected minerals. Whereas the causal relationship between industrial minerals and metallic minerals are measured by Engle-Granger's Error correction model. In conclusion, there is a trend break in most cases between 1984-1985. This is caused by the emergence demand for industrial minerals in major project in Thailand, while for the production of some minerals are appeared to increase with a significant amount due to high overseas demand. However, there is no relationship between metallic minerals and industrial expansion.
