The Tanjungraya site is the site of ancient settlement located in the District of Sukau,West Lampung. The traces of human settlement in the past found in the site are an inscription, megalithic tradition remains, ceramics,potteries, and megalithics culptures. The site was occupied before the inscription emerged. The presence of inscription in the Tanjungraya site provides clues to early settlers in the site of the Tanjungraya as an ancient inscription recipient as well as the inhabitants of the site. The approaches taken by the analysis writing are the material culture and sociological approaches. The earliest inhab- itant of the settlement site is public support for the Tanjungraya megalithic tradition. The ceramics in the Tanjungraya site can be equated with inscription equipment brought by the settlers as a group that carried the inscription. The density of the ceramic findings obtained in the Tanjungraya sites showed that there was a relationship or social interaction between two groups of inhabitant.
