Konstruksi merupakan salah satu kegiatan dalam bidang ekonomi, sosial, dan budaya yang mempunyai peranan penting dalam pencapaian berbagai sasaran guna menunjang terwujudnya tujuan pembangunan nasional. Namun demikian, angka kecelakaan kerja pada sektor konstruksi masih terbilang cukup tinggi. Tingginya angka kecelakaan kerja disebabkan oleh beberapa faktor, salah satunya adalah adanya anggapan bahwa biaya K3 terbilang tinggi dan hanya menjadi biaya tambahan proyek saja. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi komponen biaya yang berpengaruh terhadap penerapan K3 pada proyek konstruksi sehingga akan menjadi petunjuk bagi kontraktor dalam mengestimasi besarnya biaya K3. Metode analisa yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah dengan melakukan uji korelasi antara variabel X (komponen biaya) terhadap variabel Y (peningkatan kinerja penerapan K3). Terdapat beberapa komponen biaya yang mempunyai korelsi signifikan terhadap peningkatan kinerja penerapan K3, yaitu komponen biaya manajemen K3 (safety officer, safety coordinator, dan safety supervisor), komponen biaya keselamatan pada gedung (rambu K3, lampu penerangan, dan alat pemadam kebakaran), komponen biaya prosedur K3 (pelatihan pekerja, pemeriksaan kualifikasi pekerja, asuransi, kompensasi, pemeriksaan kesehatan pekerja, dan simulasi kecelakaan), komponen biaya keselamatan pada lapangan (scaffolding, safety net, railing, pembuangan sampah, dan alat kebersihan), serta komponen biaya keselamatan pada pekerja (APD). Besarnya biaya K3 berkisar 1-2% terhadap nilai kontrak proyek.

Construction is one of the activities in the field of economic, social, and culture that plays an important role in achieving various objectives to support the realization of national development goals.. However, number of work accidents in the construction sector is still high. The high number of work accidents is caused by several factors, one of which is the perception that the cost of safety is high and only the additional cost projects alone. This study aims to identify the cost components that affect the application of safety on construction projects that will be guidance for contractors in estimating the cost of safety.

Methods of analysis used in this study is to test the correlation between variables X (component costs) to variable Y (increase application performance of safety). There are several components that have significant correlation to the improvement of the performance of the application of safety, costs of safety management (safety officer, safety coordinator, and safety supervisor), costs of safety procedures (worker's training, qualification examination, insurance, worker?s compensation fund, worker?s medical examination, and simulated accident), costs of building safety (safety signage, lighting, dand fire fighting equipment), costs of site safety (scaffolding, safety net, railing, waste, and cleaning tools), and costs of worker's safety (Personal Protective Equipment). The amount of the cost of safety around 1-2% of the contract value of the project.
