Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara optimisme dan perceived social support pada mahasiswa penerima Beasiswa Bidikmisi di Universitas Indonesia. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan metode kuantitatif kepada 250 mahasiswa penerimana Beasiswa Bidikmisi di Universitas Indonesia angkatan 2011, 2012, 2013 dan 2014. Pengukuran optimisme menggunakan Life Orientation Test-Revised (LOT-R) yang dikembangkan oleh Scheier, Carver dan Bridges (1994). Perceived social support diukur dengan Social Provisions Scale (SPS) yang dikembangkan oleh Cutrona dan Russell (1987). Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat korelasi yang positif dan signifikan antara optimisme dan perceived social support (r = 0,000, p = 0,351) pada mahasiswa penerima Beasiswa Bidikmisi di Universitas Indonesia.;This research was conducted to find the relationship between optimism and perceived social support among students of Bidikmisi Scholarship at Universitas Indonesia.
