ABSTRAK
Skripsi ini membahas mengenai jarak estetis dalam konsep disinterested. Disinterested Jerome Stolnitz merupakan konsep memahami keindahan tanpa keterlibatan peran tujuan, motif, dan kebutuhan subjektif yang membawa diri pada pengalaman estetik yang apa adanya. Disinterested yang menjadi alat sekaligus konseptual berpikir digunakan untuk menghadirkan kembali konsep jarak antaraobjek persepsi dengan individu sebagai penikmat dalam memahami keindahan dan pengalaman estetiknya. Konsep disinterested Jerome stolnitz diperlukan untuk mengevaluasi pengalaman sekaligus objek estetik dalam proses memahami serta menilai keindahan dan produk di dalamnya yang berupa seni.

ABSTRACT
This Thesis discusses the aesthetic distance in the concept of disinterested. Disinterested concept by Jerome Stolnitz is the concept to understand beautywithout the role of an ends, motives, and personal attachments, leading us to experience something aesthetically. Disinterested which become the tools as well as conceptual thinking is used for bringing back the concept of distance betweenthe object of perception and the subject as spectator in the process of understanding beauty and their aesthetic experiences. This is required to evaluate aesthetic object and experience in the understanding and judging beauty and the art as the product of it.
