Sebagai Presiden ke-6 dan elit partai, Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, atau yang dikenal dengannama SBY, memiliki cara yang unik untuk mengekspresikan perasaannya, yaitu denganbermusik dan menulis lagu. Selama dua periode kepresidenan, empat album dan satu albuminstrumental telah lahir. Studi ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi tiga aspek psikologis padaSBY melalui lirik lagunya. Aspek-aspek tersebut adalah emosi, prestasi dan harmoni.Sebanyak 23 lagu yang ditulis oleh SBY dikumpulkan untuk kepentingan analisis. Tiga studitelah dilakukan untuk menganalisis aspek psikologis dalam lirik lagu SBY. Pertama, analisisdengan AK untuk mengidentifikasi valensi dan arousal dalam setiap lagu dengan metodeword count. Kedua, analisis ALK untuk mengidentifikasi valensi dan arousal di setiap lagudengan penilaian manusia. Ketiga, dengan melibatkan expert untuk menilai kata yang palingsering muncul pada lagu SBY. Studi menunjukkan selama tahun 2006 hingga 2014, albumlagu SBY memiliki muatan valensi positif yang konstan dan peningkatan level arousal.Selain itu, analisis EJ menunjukkan bahwa kata dominan menggambarkan aspek prestasi danharmoni.

As the 6th Indonesian President and party?s elite, Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, also knownSBY, has unique way to express his feeling, by playing music and writing songs lyrics. Forover two presidency periods, four albums and one instrumental album has been produced.This study aims to identify three psychological aspects on SBY through his songs lyrics.Those aspects are emotion; achievement and harmony. For over 23 songs written by SBY hasbeen collected for analyzing purposes. Three studies have conducted to analyze psychologicalaspects from SBY?s lyrics. The first is AK (Algoritma Kata) to identify valence and arousalin every song using word count method. Second is ALK (Analisis Lirik Keseluruhan), toidentify valence and arousal in every song using human evaluation. The third is by usingexpert judgment (EJ) to analyze dominant words that emerges in all lyrics. Current studyshows that from 2006 to 2014 SBY?s song albums contain constant positive valence andincrease in the level of arousal.
