Dalam sistem Long Term Evolution, kapasitas penggunaan jaringan telekomunikasi akan sangat meningkat. Peningkatan kapasitas dapat dilakukan dengan memperkecil jarak antara transmitter dan receiver pada sistem LTE. Antena dengan sistem MIMO merupakan salah satu komponen penting dalam sistem LTE.Pada tesis ini telah dirancang antena MIMO 2x2 pasif dan aktif. Antena MIMO 2x2 pasif bekerja disekitar frekuensi 2,1-2,45 GHz dan memiliki gain sebesar 6,2 dBi. Pada antena MIMO 2x2 aktif, Low Noise Amplifier diintegrasikan dengan antena 3 sedangkan Power Amplifier dihubungkan dengan antena 4.

In Long Term Evolution system, the capacity utilization of telecommunications network will be greatly increased. Increased capacity can be done by minimizing the distance between the transmitter and receiver in the LTE system. Antennas with MIMO system is one of the important components in the LTE system.In this thesis, is designed a 2x2 MIMO antenna passive and active. 2x2 MIMO antennas passive work around frequency 2.1 to 2.45 GHz and has a gain of 6.2 dBi. In the active 2x2 MIMO antenna, Low Noise aplifier integrated with the antenna 3 while the Power Amplifier is connected to the antenna 4.
