[Penelitian ini mengangkat mengenai masalah identitas Kristen Jawa di GKJ dalam konteks masyarakat urban dan plural di Jakarta. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif. Dalam penelitian ini ditemukan bahwa identitas Kristen Jawa ala GKJ merupakan identitas hibrid yang terbentuk melalui mimikri dan selalu bersifat ambivalen antara kekristenan dan kejawaan. Dalam identitas Kristen Jawa ini pula telah terjadi reinterpretasi, yang sebelumnya bersifat eksklusif kini menjadi inklusif.;This study raised the issue of Javanese Christian identity in Gereja Kristen Jawa (GKJ) within urban and plural society context in Jakarta.
