Balita diare dapat menimbulkan dehidrasi berat, jika tidak ditangani segera mengakibatkan syok. Madu memiliki antibakteri, antiinflamasi, dan antivirus yang dapat melawan organisme enterophatogenic. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengidentifikasi efektivitas terapi madu terhadap frekuensi diare dan bising usus pada anak usia balita. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain kuasi eksperimental jenis nonequivalent control group before after design dengan sampel 46 balita.Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan adanya perbedaan yang signifikan pada frekuensi diare dan bising usus antara kelompok intervensi dan kelompok kontrol (p= 0,000; ᾰ = 0,05). Hasil penelitian ini dapat digunakan untuk menurunkan frekuensi diare dan bising usus dengan terapi komplementer pemberian madu.

Under-five-children with diarrhea can cause severe dehydration, if not in the handle immediately, resulting in shock. The purpose of this research is to identify honey therapy effectiveness towards frequency of diarrhea and bowel frequency in children aged under five. This research a quasi-experimental design types of nonequivalent control group design with sample before after 46 toddlers.

The results of this study showed the existence of significant differences of diarrhea and bowel sounds between the intervention group and the control group (p = 0.000; ᾰ = 0.05). The results of this research can be used degrade frequency of diarrhea and bowel sounds with complementary therapy the granting of honey.
