ABSTRAK Penggunaan gaya bahasa sering kali ditemukan dalam kehidupan sehari-hari, yang terkadang
pula dapat menggeser makna. Pada umumnya, anak-anak belum dapat memahami maksud
tersembunyi di balik ungkapan yang implisit. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi
kemunculan eufemisme, serta mengklasifikasi bentuk eufemisme yang muncul pada buku
anak. Penelitian ini merupakan analisis deskriptif yang mendeskripsikan atau memberikan
penjelasan terhadap data penelitian. Dari penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa gaya bahasa
eufemisme sudah ditemukan pada buku anak, baik secara eksplisit maupun implisit. Namun
tak berarti pula semakin tua usia anak semakin banyak penghalusan makna yang dimunculkan
pada buku anak.

In general, children cannot understand the ulterior motives behind theimplicit expression. This study aims to identify the emergence of euphemism in children?sbooks and also to classify the form of euphemisms which appear in the data.
