Penelitian ini membahas tentang isu determinisme teknologi di dalam Anime Stand By Me. Isu tersebutmenyebabkan timbulnya ketergantungan manusia terhadap teknologi di dalam kehidupan. Manusia yang hidupberdampingan dengan teknologi di dalam kesehariannya mendapatkan pengaruh dari teknologi tersebut.Teknologi yang pada awalnya diciptakan untuk memudahkan manusia akhirnya mendominasi manusia danmembuat manusia bergantung terhadap teknologi tersebut. Teknologi tersebut juga memberikan pengaruhterhadap perilaku dan sifat manusia. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menunjukkan penggambarandeterminisme teknologi yang ada di dalam Anime Stand By Me. Penggambaran tersebut ditunjukkan pada tokohNobita yang di dalam kesehariannya tidak dapat lepas dari alat-alat canggih milik Doraemon. Masalah yang akandibahas adalah bagaimana isu determinisme teknologi digambarkan dalam Anime Stand By Me. Penelitian inimenggunakan metode studi pustaka. Hasil dari penelitian ini membuktikan bahwa determinisme teknologidigambarkan pada tokoh Nobita sebagai sebuah artefak yang bersandar pada teknologi. Representasi manusiayang bergantung kepada teknologi di dalam kehidupan.ABSTRACT This study discusses the issue of technology determinism within the Anime of Stand By Me. This particular issue

causes the need of human dependent with technology in the life. Humans who has been living with technology in

his daily basis can gain influences from the technology itself. Technology from the start is created in order to

facilitate humans that leads to dominate and make them dependent to it. Technology also could give influences

towards human's behaviour. The purpose of this study is to show the depiction of technology determinism within

the anime of stand by me. That depiction is demonstrated by character of Nobita whom can not get out of

Doraemon's sophisticated devices in his daily life. The Problem which will be discussed is how the issue about

determinism of technology depicted within the Anime Stand By Me. This research uses the literature review
