Jurnal ini membahas tentang pesan yang terdapat dalam salah satu cerita rakyat Korea yang berjudul Heungbuwa Nolbu. Cerita ini merupakan cerita rakyat yang populer di kalangan anak-anak dari sekian banyak ceritarakyat yang terdapat di Korea. Heungbu wa Nolbu menceritakan tentang kehidupan kakak beradik dengan sifatyang bertolak belakang. Sifat inilah yang akan mengajarkan kepada para pembaca mengenai kebaikan dankeburukan yang terjadi dalam kehidupan, baik tentang perilaku maupun dampak dari perilaku tersebut. Tujuanpenelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pesan yang terkandung dalam cerita Heungbu wa Nolbu dan menjadikancerita ini sebagai pelajaran dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Dalam melakukan penelitian, penulis menggunakanmetode deskriptif kualitatif dan close reading untuk menganalisis serta menjelaskan hal-hal yang terkait denganpenelitian ini. Penelitian dimulai dengan pencarian teks cerita Heungbu wa Nolbu dalam bahasa Korea dansumber-sumber lain yang terkait dengan cerita Heungbu wa Nolbu, kemudian seluruh sumber dibaca, dipahami,dianalisis dan diinterpretasikan. Melalui langkah tersebut, penulis menemukan kesimpulan bahwa cerita rakyatKorea Heungbu wa Nolbu ini memiliki pesan utama agar kita harus peduli sesama makhluk hidup yang ada dilingkungan sekitar kita. Selain itu juga, sesama saudara harus saling mengasihi dan tidak boleh acuh satu samalain.ABSTRACT This journal discusses the messages contained in a Korean folklore entitled Heungbu wa Nolbu. This story is a

folklore that are popular among children of many folklore in Korea. Heungbu wa Nolbu tells about the life of

brothers with opposite character. This kind of character that will teach readers about the good and bad that

happens in life, both on the behavior and the impact of such behavior. The purpose of this study was to

determine the message contained in the story Heungbu wa Nolbu and make this story as a lesson in daily life. In

conducting the research, the writer used descriptive qualitative and close reading to analyze and explain matters

related to this research. The study begins with the story text search Heungbu wa Nolbu in Korean and other

sources related to the story Heungbu wa Nolbu, then the entire source read, understood, analyzed and interpreted.

Through these steps, the authors found the conclusion that the Korean folklore, Heungbu wa Nolbu has main

message that we should care about our fellow human beings in the environment around us. In addition, a brother
