Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkapkan pengaruh perbedaan gender dalam pemilihan kata-kata dan struktur kalimat pada penciptaaan lagu ?dat ik je mis? karya Maaike Ouboter dan ?ik mis je? karya Vangrail. Penelitian ini termasuk penelitian kualitatif dengan menggunakan metode deskriptif. Teori yang digunakan dalam penulisan ini ialah teori dari Robin Lakoff dan Dèdè Bouwer yang berfokus pada penggunaan bahasa dalam kaitannya dengan perbedaan gender. Judul kedua lagu dalam penelitian ini terlihat serupa, namun bila ditelusuri lebih lanjut terdapat banyak perbedaan karakteristik di dalamnya. Maaike Ouboter cenderung menuliskan secara rinci apa yang ia rasakan, memperhatikan estetika, dan menuliskannya dengan implisit. Di sisi lain, Vangrail cenderung menuliskan apa yang ia pikirkan secara eksplisit, serta menggunakan struktur kalimat yang lebih rumit.ABSTRACT This study is aims to reveal the gender differences influence in words election and sentences structure in creation of song ?dat ik je mis? by Maaike Ouboter and ?ik mis je? by Vangrail.
