Prospek pengembangan laut dalam yang terletak di cekungan Kutai, yang berpotensi menghasilkan gas sebesar 115 MMSCFD dan kondensat sebesar 4000 SBCPD. Gas dan kondensat yang dihasilkan sumur E akan dikirim ke existing FPU (Floating Production Unit) melalui pipeline 9.5? untuk diproses yang kemudian diteruskan juga melalui existing pipeline dari FPU tersebut ke terminal Z yang diharapkan dapat berproduksi pada pertengahan tahun 2016. Penambahan peralatan untuk produksi gas alam dari sumur E ini adalah penambahan Slug Catcher, Pig Receiver, Inlet Heater, Condensate Cooler, Production Separator, Coalescer Separator, pemipaan juga peralatan Instrumentation dan Electrical yang termasuk MCC dan battery room. Sementara FPU X akan menyediakan sebagian fasilitasnya untuk produksi gas alam sumur E yang berupa gas compression system dan gas dehydration system.Pada karya tulis ini, untuk memodifikasi FPU X dambil empat langkah utama yaitu pertama dengan mensimulasikan gas masukan dengan mempertimbangkan lima skenario yang mungkin terjadi dan memprediksi nilai ICP (Indonesian Crude Price), kemudian menentukan desainnya berdasarkan kondisi terburuknya, kemudian mengevaluasi jumlah keluaran produksi gas dan kondensat dan terakhir menganalisa nilai keekonomian proyek ini.Berdasarkan hasil analisa didapatkan data design condition untuk peralatannya berupa tekanan operasi, temperatur operasi dan heat duty dimana sumur ini akan memproduksi gas sebanyak 206.584,5 MMSCF dan kondensat 6.117.339,8 barel selama tujuh tahun beroperasi. Sementara CAPEX maksimum yang layak dikeluarkan adalah sebesar 571.190.717 USD.

The prospect of developing deep water located in Kutai basin, which have potensial to produce 115 MMSCFD of gas and 4000 SBCPD of condensate. The gas and condensate which produced by this E well will go to the existing FPU (Floating Production Unit) first via 9.5? of subsea pipeline to be proceeded then transferred to the Z terminal also via existing pipeline. This E well is expected to start operating in the middle of 2016. The additional equipment for this E gas processing are additional Slug Catcher, Pig Receiver, Inlet Heater, Condensate Cooler, Production Separator, Coalescer Separator, piping and also instrumentation and electrical including MCC and battery room. Thus the existing X FPU will provide some of its facilitity for E gas processing such as gas compression system and gas dehydration system.In this thesis, to modify this FPU X, there are four main steps first by simulating the gas procesing considering five scenarios which might happen and by predicting the price of Indonesia crude oil, then deciding the design condition based on the worst scenario, after that by evaluating the gas and condensate output, last but not least by evaluating the economical value for this project development.Based on the analysis done, there are inputs of the design condition such as the operating pressure, operating temperature and the heat duty while this well will produce as much as 206.584,5 MMSCF of gas and 6.117.339,8 barel of condensate for seven years of operation. While the maksimum CAPEX that worth to be expended is 571.190.717 USD.
