Indonesia sudah mulai mencanangkan penggunaan BBG tahun 1986 untuk transportasi namun sampai saat ini perkembangannya dinilai lambat. Salah satu penyebabnya yaitu harga BBG yang tidak menarik. Maka perlu dilakukan penelitian mengenai harga BBG dengan menggunakan beberapa skenario perhitungan untuk mendapatkan kisaran harga 40 - 50% lebih murah dari harga BBM. Metode penelitian ini yaitu dengan menggunakan 7 Skenario ditinjau dari sumber pembiayaan dan insentif oleh pemerintah serta melakukan perhitungan harga BBG dalam satuan Liter Setara Pertamax dan Pertamax Plus. Dari hasil perhitungan diperoleh harga BBG di SPBG Mother Station untuk semua Skenario masih menarik masyarakat pengguna dan pengusaha kecuali pada pada volume penjaualan 50% yaitu sekitar Rp. 3.140/LSP - Rp. 4.479/LSP, sehingga jika volume penjualan lebih dari 50% maka tidak perlu pembiayaan dan insentif dari pemerintah. Sedangkan harga BBG di SPBG Daughter Station yang menarik yaitu hanya pada Skenario 4 dengan harga Rp. 4.052/LSP - Rp. 4.425/LSP, sehingga masih diperlukan pembiayaan dan insentif dari pemerintah. Harga BBG dalam satuan Liter Setara Pertamax Plus adalah yang paling mahal tetapi masih tidak menarik karena selisih harga yang sedikit dengan premium yaitu Rp 16/LSP dan Rp. 9/LSP untuk Pertamax.

While the price of CNG in Daughter Station will be interesting only in Scenario 4 at a price of Rp. Rp. 4.052/LSP - Rp. 4.425/LSP, so its necessary to gets financing and incentives from the government. CNG price in units Liter Equivalent Pertamax Plus is the most but its considered unattractive because of the difference price with premium is slightly that is Rp. 16 /LSP and Rp. 9/LSP for Pertamax.
