ABSTRAKLatar belakang: Karies gigi merupakan penyakit rongga mulut dengan insidens terbesar oleh karena itu dilakukan penelitian pencegahan karies.Tujuan : Menganalisis efektifitas gel kompleks CPP-ACP (Casein Phosphopeptide-Amorph Calcium Phosphate) + EEP terhadap remineralisasi email.Metode: Spesimen email terdemineralisasi diberi perlakuan gel kompleks CPP-ACP + EEP konsentrasi 2, 4, dan 6%. Selanjutnya diuji kekerasan mikro menggunakan vickers microhardness tester, uji struktur mikro dan konsentrasi kalsium dan fosfor permukaan email menggunakan SEM+EDX.Hasil dan Kesimpulan: Tidak terdapat perbedaan bermakna antar kelompok perlakuan dan tidak terdapat perbedaan bermakna sebelum dan sesudah perlakuan. Gel kompleks CPP-ACP +EEP tidak dapat meningkatkan remineralisasi email.

ABSTRACT

Background : Dental caries is the highest incidence oral disease the world, in order to reduce it we must focus in prevention activity research.

Aim: To analyze the effectivity of CPP-ACP (Casein Phosphopeptide-Amorph Calcium Phosphate) Complex + Ethanolic Propolis Extract Gel to Enamel Remineralization.

Methods: CPP-ACP Complex + EPE with concentration 2, 4 and 6% gel were given to demineralyzed enamel slabs. The enamel surface microhardness were examined using vickers microhardness tester, enamel microstructure and calcium fosfor concentration were evaluated using SEM+EDX.

Result and Summary: No significant difference between groups and no significant difference before and after gel application.
