Tingginya angka konflik sosial yang terjadi di sekitar kita merupakan sebuah permasalahan yang membutuhkan tanggapan yang cepat dan tepat. Salah satu bentuk konflik sosial yang sering terjadi di masyarakat adalah konflik yang terjadi antara organisasi kemasyarakatan. Campur tangan kepolisian sebagai mediator dianggap suatu hal yang tepat untuk menyelesaikan suatu konflik, dengan melakukan mediasi diharapkan sebuah resolusi konflik akan muncul untuk menghentikan konflik-konflik yang terjadi antara organisasi kemasyarakatan.Berdasarkan permasalahan tersebut, penelitian ini selanjutnya berusaha menjelaskan bagaimana peran kepolisian dalam menyelesaikan konflik ormas Forum Betawi Rempug (FBR) versus ormas Pemuda Pancasila (PP) dari sudut pandang kriminologi, dengan memanfaatkan data-data sekunder yang diperoleh dari studi literatur. Penggunaan konsep peran kepolisian, resolusi konflik, dan sedikit teori konflik menurut Weber, diharapkan dapat memberikan masukan kepada pihak terkait untuk selanjutnya dapat digunakan untuk menyelesaikan konflik semacam ini dengan lebih baik.

The high number of social conflicts that occur around us is a problem that requires rapid and appropriate response. One of the social conflict that often occurs in society is the conflict between community organizations. Police intervened as mediator is considered a proper thing to resolve a conflict, with the mediation are expected a conflict resolution will appear to stop the conflicts that occur between community organizations.Based on these problems, this study further attempt to explain how the role of police in the conflict resolution organizations Forum Betawi Rempug (FBR) versus Pemuda Pancasila (PP) from the viewpoint of criminology, by using secondary data obtained from study of literature. The use of the concept the role of police, conflict resolution, and a bit of theory of conflict according to Weber, is expected to provide input to the parties concerned to further be used to resolve such conflicts better.
