ABSTRAKTujuan jurnal ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana opini publik mengenai produk Bahan Bakar Minyak baru di Perusahaan Pertamina, Pertalite. Media saat ini menjadi sumber penting dalam penyampaian informasi baik di media konvensional maupun sosial. Jurnal ini membahas mengenai media sosial yang Pertamina gunakan sebagai wadah penyampaian opini publik, dan sebaliknya, audiens dapat memberikan opini. Opini publik harus diperhatikan oleh perusahaan agar mengetahui bagaimana pandangan publik terhadap perusahaan dan menjadi pertimbangan korporasi dalam mengambil kebijakan tertentu. Selain itu, dapat menjadi tolak ukur bagaimana hubungan antara perusahaan dan konsumen. Hubungan consumer relations ini penting karena berpengaruh bagi perusahaan terhadap perkembangan dan hidup suatu perusahaan.

ABSTRACT

The aim of this paper is to investigate public opinion towards Pertamina?s new gasoline product, Pertalite. Mass media has become a significant source in terms of delivering information, whether in a conventional or in a social media. This paper discusses the social media used by Pertamina as the platform to convey public opinion, and conversely, for the audience to give their opinion. Public opinion should be carefully considered by the company in order to know public?s standpoint towards them, and it should be taken into account in the company?s policy-making. Furthermore, it could serve as a benchmark in perceiving the relationship between the company and their consumers. The consumer relations are important for the company to maintain as it affects their development and continuity.
