ABSTRAK
Skripsi ini membahas fenomena makerspace sebagai respon dari kebutuhan ruang experiential learning untuk pemberdayaan manusia. Dua jenis makerspace yang menjadi studi kasus yaitu Indoestri Makerspace dan makerspace bengkel. Pembahasan mencakup gambaran umum tentang makerspace, rangkaian aktivitas experiential learning di dalam makerspace, susunan ruang pembentuknya secara mikro dan makro, serta pengaruhnya terhadap kegiatan belajar. Kesimpulannya merupakan hasil dari perbandingan kedua jenis makerspace; keduanya memiliki perbedaan, persamaan, kekurangan dan kelebihan masing-masing, namun sangat berpotensi menjadi respon arsitektur yang baik untuk kegiatan experiential learning. Bila experiential learning di Indoestri Makerspace menerapkan sistem instruktur-partisipan yang berbiaya, experiential learning di bengkel terjadi sebagai bagian dari aktivitas bekerja, sehingga bisa mencakup orang dari berbagai kalangan ekonomi. ABSTRAK
This study discusses makerspace phenomenon in response to the need of space for experiential learning for human empowerment. Two types of makerspace that became the case studies are Indoestri Makerspace and workshop. The discussion includes a general description of makerspace, experiential learning activity sequences in makerspace, spatial arrangement of its constituent micro and macro, and its influence on learning activities. The conclusion is the result of comparison between the two types of makerspace; both have differences, similarities, advantages and disadvantages, but can potentially become proper architectural response for experiential learning activities. If experiential learning in Indoestri Makerspace implement systems instructor-participant cost, experiential learning in workshop occurs as part of the work, so it can include people from all walks of economy The spatial formation is delivered in three categories of study, production, and display, represented into a space that is flexible, adaptive, supportive and full of resources.
