ABSTRAK
Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menunjukkan visibilitas metodeline profile sebagai metode evaluasi kuantitatif citra computed radographytoraks pasien pediatrik. Sampel berupa 36 citra toraks pediatrik yangterdiri dari 26 citra toraks normal dan 10 citra toraks abnormal, diperolehdengan menggunakan sistem CR. Line profile dibuat dengan menggunakanperangkat lunak imageJ dan dikuantisasi menggunakan fortran 90. Setiapline profile diberi enam perlakuan (metode) yang berbeda, yakni tanpamodifikasi nilai piksel (metode I), modifikasi nilai piksel menjadi kontrasregion of interest (ROI) tulang (metode II), modifikasi nilai piksel menjadikontras ROI toraks (metode III), normalisasi rentang nilai piksel (metode IV),normalisasi rentang nilai piksel dan modifikasi kontras ROI tulang (metodeV), serta normalisasi rentang nilai piksel dan modifikasi kontras ROI toraks(metode VI). Verifikasi metode dilakukan dengan menggunakan coefficient ofvariation (CoV). Metode terbaik dipilih dan digunakan sebagai acuan lineprofile normal yang akan dibandingkan dengan line profile citra abnormal.Untuk membandingkan secara kuantitatif line profile normal dan abnormal,diskrepansi () digunakan sebagai parameter. Hasil penelitian menunjukkanbahwa metode line profile dengan menggunakan normalisasi rentang nilaipiksel adalah metode yang memiliki fisibilitas untuk membedakan citranormal dan abnormal. Dari metode ini, kelainan dengan  terkecil adalahbronchitis dan  terbesar adalah effusion. Penelitian lanjutan diperlukanuntuk meningkatkan fisibilitas metode ini untuk kasus abnormalitas lain.

ABSTRACT
This study was aimed to demonstrate the feasibility of line profile methodin quantitatively evaluating paediatric chest images acquired using computedradiography (CR). A sample of 36 paediatric chest images, which is 26normal chest images and 10 abnormal chest images, were obtained usinga CR system and were evaluated quantitatively using line profile. Themethod involves the use of imageJ software for profile setting and fortran90 for quantifying the results. Each line profiles were subjected using sixdifferent quantization methods. These methods are pixel value withoutany modification (method I), pixel value modification with contrast ofbone region of interest (ROI) (method II), pixel value modification withcontrast of thorax ROI (method III), filtering pixel value range (methodIV), filtering pixel value range with modification using bone ROI contrast(method V), as well as filtering pixel value range with modification usingthorax ROI contrast (method VI). Methods were compared by means oftheir coefficient of variation (CoV). The best method for normal images wasselected and was used to serve as baseline in distinguishing abnormal images.To quantitatively compare normal and abnormal line profile, discrepancy ()with the baseline set was used as parameter. Result shows that line profilemethod with pixel value range filtering method (method IV) was able todistinguish abnormal images. From this set of method, the abnormalitieswith the smallest  and the greatest  was bronchitis and effusion. More thoroughstudies are required to confirm and improve the feasibility of this method.
