ABSTRAK
Prevalensi kejadian hipertensi terus meningkat dengan berbagai faktor resiko. Salah satunya yaitu dengan kebiasaan merokok yang banyak dilakukan oleh pekerja. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui jumlah rokok yang dikonsumsi perhari dan intensitas merokok terhadap kejadian hipertensi pada pekerja. Metode penelitian menggunakan desain cross sectional pada 81 pekerja yang mengunjungi poliklinik di PT. PG Kota Cirebon, teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini Convenience sampling. Hasil uji analistik Chi-square menyatakan terdapat hubungan antara jumlah rokok yang dikonsumsi perhari dengan kejadian hipertensi pada pekerja di PT. PG (p= 0.026 : α = 0.05). Hasil uji analistik pada intensitas merokok juga menyatakan terdapat hubungan antara intensitas merokok dengan kejadian hipertensi pada pekerja di PT. PG (p = 0.001 : α = 0.05). Hasil penelitian ini diharapkan dapat meningkatkan upaya promotif dan preventif terhadap penyakit hipertensi, diantaranya dengan pendidikan kesehatan komplikasi hipertensi dan pencegahan faktor resiko penyebab hipertensi yaitu salah satunya konsumsi rokok.

ABSTRACT
The prevalence of hypertension increasing with multiple risk factors. One of them is the habit of smoking which mostly done by workers. This study aims to determine the number of cigarettes smoked in daily and the intensity of smoking on the incidence of hypertension among workers. The research method using cross sectional design to the 81 workers who visited the clinic at PT. PG in Cirebon City, the sampling technique used in this study is Convenience sampling. The results of the analytical test Chi-square states that there is a relationship between the number of cigarettes consumed in daily with hypertension to the workers at PT. PG (p = 0.026: α = 0.05). Test results on the intensity of smoking analytics also states there is a relationship between intensity of smoking with hypertension to the workers at PT. PG (p = 0.001: α = 0.05). The results of this study are expected to be able increasing promotive and perventive efforts against hypertension diseases, including health education and prevention of complications of hypertension risk factors, which one of the factor is the consumption of cigarettes.
