Penelitian terbaru menunjukkan tren isolasi dan penurunan kualitas hubungan interpersonal, meskipun hubungan interpersonal sangat penting untuk kesehatan mental pada dewasa (Keefer, Landau, & Sullivan, 2014). Fenomena ini dihipotesiskan sebagai disfungsi Object Relations (Mukherjee & Sanyal, 2014), di mana perkembangan fungsi tersebut terkait dengan attachment kepada orangtua (Twomey, Kaslow, & Croft, 2000). Perkembangan attachment kepada Tuhan sebagai perpanjangan dari orangtua, sebagaimana dijelaskan dalam hipotesis Correspondence dan Compensation, juga diprediksi dapat memengaruhi fungsi Object Relations (Tisdale, 1997). Terkait attachment kepada Tuhan, kebutuhan untuk terus-menerus mempersepsi kehadiran fisik dari Tuhan sebagaimana tersimbolisasi dalam NO-WAR (Non-Obligatory Worn Attribute of Religion) juga diperkirakan sebagai rendahnya adaptabilitas Object Relations terhadap ketidak-hadiran fisik objek (Bell, 1995). Berdasarkan penjelasan tersebut, penulis mengaplikasikan Analisis Multilevel untuk mengetahui pengaruh attachment kepada Tuhan dan attachment kepada orangtua terhadap Object Relations dalam urutan hierarkis, di mana pengaruh kedua variabel tersebut bervariasi pada kelompok dengan NO-WAR dan tanpa NO-WAR. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemakaian NO-WAR meningkatkan prediksi attachment kepada Tuhan terhadap fungsi Object Relations yang lebih adaptif, sementara pengaruh tersebut tidak ditemukan pada prediksi attachment kepada orangtua terhadap fungsi Object Relations. Model keseluruhan akhir yang diperoleh sesuai dengan model hierarki yang dihipotesiskan penulis.

Latest findings showed isolation and derivation trends of interpersonal relations among cultures, despite the importance of interpersonal relations for adults? mental health (Keefer, Landau, & Sullivan, 2014). This phenomenon is hypothesized to be a dysfunction of Object Relations (Mukherjee & Sanyal, 2014), which development intertwined with attachment built to parents (Twomey, Kaslow, & Croft, 2000).

In the other hands, development of God attachment as the extension of parental attachment figure is expected to impact one's Object Relations (Tisdale, 1997), as explained in Correspondence and Compensation Hypothesis. Urge for physical presence of God as symbolized in NO-WAR (Non-Obligatory Worn Attribute of Religion), is expected to be a sign of Object Relations? lack of adaptability to the physical absence of others (Bell, 1995).

Building on this work, the author proposed the Multilevel Analysis in determining the effect both parental attachment and God attachment to Object Relations function in hierarchical order, where the effects are nested within the NO-WAR and Non-wearer group.

Results showed that NO-WAR elevated the effect of God attachment to better Object Relations, while none is found in the effect of parental attachment. The overall model fit the hierarchical model hypothesized by author.
