ABSTRAK
Alat Portable electric front wheel for wheelchair ini dirancang untuk memberikan mobilitas lebih bagi pengguna kursi roda manual. Dengan menyambungkan kursi roda dengan sebuah roda yang memiliki HUB mottor maka kursi roda manual akan diberikan mobolitas layaknya mobility scooter. Agar alat dapat disambungkan dengan kursi roda ukuran apapun, maka diperlukan rancangan frame yang fleksibel dan dapat siatur sesuai kebutuhan. Mengingat pengguna alat adalah mereka yang memiliki disabilitas maka pengaturan tersebut harus bisa dilakukan dengan mudah untuk mereka. Penelitian dilakukan dengan membuat rancangan frame dan melakukan analisis terhadap kelayakan dari frame hasil rancangan. Analisais dilakukan pada kekuatan frame untuk melihat apakah kekuatan frame sudah mencukupi untuk besar gaya yang bekerja padanya. Prototipe juga direalisasikan dan diujo performanya. Dari hasil pengujian tersebut didapat baha protipe masih memiliki beberapa kekurangan yang perlu dikembangkan lagi dengan penelitian lebih lanjut. Untuk penelitian lebih lanjut akan baik jika dilakukan optimasi terhadap rancangan yang sudah ada untuk mengatasinya.

ABSTRACT
The portable electric front wheel for wheelchair device is designed to give more mobilitty to manual wheelchair users. By connecting the wheelchair to a wheel with a HUB motor installed on it, tthe manual wheelchair gains the mobility the likes of a mobility scooter. So that the frame can universally be used on any wheelchair, no matter the size, the frame for this device needs to be flexile and adjustable to suit the needs of the user. Remembering the user will be people with disability, the adjustment the mechanism for the adjustments need to be easy to use for them. The research is done by designing the frame and analysing wheter or not the design is strong enough for use. The result of the analysis shows that the currentt design of the fram is still overdesigned. For further research it would be benefitial to an optimization of the current design to fix the problem.
