Skripsi ini membahas tentang peran dari Badan Nasional Penempatan dan Perlindungan Tenaga Kerja Indonesia (BNP2TKI) di dalam proses pra penempatan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peran dari BNP2TKI di dalam proses pra penempatan serta kendala yang dihadapi oleh BNP2TKI. Teori yang digunakan di dalam penelitian ini adalah tenaga kerja, buruh migran, dan konteks peran di dalam organisasi. Pendekatan pada penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan post-positivist dengan metode pengumpulan data melalui studi kepustakaan dan wawancara mendalam. Hasil penelitian ini adalah terdapat tiga peran dari BNP2TKI di dalam pra penempatan yaitu peran ideal, peran yang dianggap oleh diri sendiri, dan peran yang dilaksanakan. Terdapat perbedaan antara peran yang ideal dengan peran yang dianggap oleh diri sendiri dan peran yang dilaksanakan. Permasalahan yang terjadi di dalam proses pra penempatan cukup banyak terjadi baik yang dialami oleh BNP2TKI maupun instansi lain yang terkait.

This thesis discusses the role of the National Agency for the Placement and Protection of Indonesian Workers (BNP2TKI) in the pre-placement process. This study aims to determine what the role of BNP2TKI in pre-placement process and the constraints faced by the BNP2TKI. The theory used in this research is labor, migrant workers, and the context of the role within the organization. The approach in this study using post-positivist approach to the method of data collection through library research and in-depth interviews.

The results of this study is there are three roles of BNP2TKI in pre-placement is ideal role, the role of which is considered by themselves, and the role undertaken. There are differences between the ideal role with the roles that are considered by themselves and the role undertaken. The problems that occurred in the pre-placement process pretty much going either experienced by BNP2TKI and other relevant institution.
