 Abstract

listrik/kWh sampai 67%.

ABSTRACT
The vast area, various geographical conditions and the uneven infrastructure
development in Indonesia are several reasons why the operational cost of
telecommunications sites are very high, especially the cost of electricity. Solar cell
hybrid energy system (HES) technology is one of the alternative energy resources
that can be used by operators to reduce their cost of electricity (COE) for sites in
rural areas. This thesis aims to establish the most effective HES calculation model
for rural sites to achieve operational costs efficiency, improve reliability and
efficiency and reduce COE. In telecommunication industry nowadays, efficiency
has become important factor for operators. The result show that HES can improve
the efficiency of operation expenditure in which COE can be reduced up to 67%.
