Tesis ini membahas mengenai kekerasan simbolik heteroseksual terhadap homoseksual yang terjadi di lingkungan kerja. Penelitian dilakukan melalui metode studi kasus dengan paradigma critical social science (CSS). Teori yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini elaborasi dari teori modal sosial Piere Bourdieu dan teori queer Judith Butler. Hasil dari penelitian menunjukkan kekerasan simbolik terhadap homoseksual terjadi melalui reproduksi doxa heteronormativity dan legisitimasi doxa tersebut dalam habitus, kapital dan field untuk meneguhkan posisi kelompok dominan. Ketidaksesuaian antara gender pervormity dengan heteroseksual matriks yang berlaku di masyarakat menjadi pemicu dari kekerasan simbolik terhadap homoseksual.

This thesis discusses about symbolic violence occured in workplace from heterosexual toward homosexual. This research is done by study case through critical social science paradigm. This study elaborates a social capital theory by Pierre Bourdieu and queer theory from Judith Butler. The results of this study indicate that symbolic violence happened through the reproduction of heteronormativity doxa and legitimation doxa inside of habitus, capital and field to strengthen the domination of heterosexual group. Discrepancy between gender pervormity with heterosexual matrix becomes the symbolic triggers of violence towards homosexual.
