Masalah utama pada sistem komunikasi yang menggunakan single radar sebagai penerima dan pengirim adalah adanya kemungkinan bahwa sinyal yang datang dipantulkan kembali ke sinyal generator sehingga mengganggu sinyal yang diterima oleh antena. Demi terbangunnya komunikasi yang baik, diperlukan suatu alat yang dapat mengarahkan sinyal masukan dan keluaran sekaligus meredam sinyal balik (feedback) agar tidak ada pantulan sehingga suatu antena dapat bekerja maksimal walaupun berfungsi sebagai transmitter dan receiver. Alat yang dimaksud adalah circulator. Sirkulator merupakan suatu perangkat pasif gelombang mikro yang memiliki banyak port, tetapi pada umumnya dibangun dari tiga port/terminal dengan fungsi yang berbeda ? beda untuk masing - masing port/terminal. Secara umum sirkulator bersifat non-reciprocal yaitu arah sinyal input tidak dapat menjadi arah sinyal output dan sebaliknya. Pada penelitian ini dilakukan perancangan circulator lange - ferrite dengan menggunakan lange coupler. Material yang digunakan pada coupler adalah FR4. Isolasi yang dapat dicapai dari circulator ini adalah -51,403 sampai dengan -51,241 dB pada frekuensi 9,37 ? 9,47 GHz dengan BW = 100 MHz pada VSWR < 2.

This research propose a Lange - Ferrite circulator with Lange - Coupler. The Microstrip used in this coupler is FR4 substrate. Isolation achieved from this circulator is -51,403 dB until -51,241 dB at frequency 9.37 ? 9.47 GHz with BW = 100 MHz at VSWR < 2.
