 Abstract

ABSTRAK
Salah satu penyebab kecemasan anak saat menjalani hospitalisasi adalah adanya
tindakan invasif yang menjadi rutinitas yang harus dijalani anak saat berada di
rumah sakit. Kecemasan anak yang berlebihan saat dilakukan tindakan invasif
dapat mengganggu proses perawatan anak dan memperpanjang masa rawat di
rumah sakit. Komunikasi terapeutik merupakan salah satu bagian penting dari
intervensi keperawatan yang mendukung prinsip atraumatik care dalam asuhan
keperawatan anak. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh
komunikasi terapetik terhadap kecemasan pada anak prasekolah saat akan
dilakukan tindakan invasif. Desain penelitian menggunakan quasi experimental
post test non equivalent with control group. Jumlah sampel sebanyak 38 anak
prasekolah dengan teknik consecutive sampling. Analisis data menggunakan
independent t test. Hasil penelitian menemukan adanya perbedaan yang bermakna
kecemasan anak prasekolah saat akan dilakukan tindakan invasif (p=0,041) antara
kelompok kontrol dan kelompok intervensi. Rekomendasi penelitian ini adalah
dengan menerapkan komunikasi terapeutik pada perawatan anak di rumah sakit

ABSTRACT
One cause of the child's anxiety undergoing hospitalization is the invasive
procedure that became a routine activities during hospitalization. Excessive
anxiety experienced by the children can be disrupt the process of child care and
extended hospital stay. Therapeutic Communication is one important part of
nursing interventions that support the principles of atraumatic care in nursing
care of children. The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of therapeutic
communication on anxiety in preschool children before the invasive procedure
taken. This study uses the quasi-experimental research non equivalent post test
with control group design. The sample number consist of 38 preschoolers with
consecutive sampling technique. Data analysis using independent t test. The
significant differences on preschooler anxiety when therapeutic communication
was applied before the invasive procedure in the intervention group (p=0.041).
Recommendations of this study is that nurses should be apply the therapeutic
communication for providing care to hospitalized children
