ABSTRAKAnak dengan pneumonia perlu mencari posisi yang tepat untuk meningkatkan oksigenasi dan kenyamanan. Pengaturan posisi dinilai memiliki efek pada fungsi tubuh manusia dan mempengaruhi berbagai kondisi penyakit. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengidentifikasi pengaruh pengaturan posisi pronasi dan semirecumbent terhadap saturasi oksigen dan tingkat kenyamanan anak balita dengan pneumonia. Desain penelitian adalah quasi eksperimental dengan pre-posttest with control group design. Tiga puluh enam anak balita pneumonia usia 0-59 bulan dibagi menjadi tiga kelompok; kelompok pronasi (n=12), kelompok semirecumbent (n=12) dan kelompok kontrol (n=12), diambil secara consecutive sampling. Analisis menggunakan uji Wilcoxon, Paired t test dan Kruskal-Wallis. Terdapat perbedaan yang bermakna saturasi oksigen pada pengaturan posisi semirecumbent. Tidak ada perbedaan yang bermakna tingkat kenyamanan pada ketiga kelompok. Pengaturan posisi semirecumbent bisa diterapkan untuk meningkatkan status oksigenasi balita dengan pneumonia

ABSTRACTChildren with pneumonia need to find the right position to increase oxygenation and comfort. The postural changes have an effect on the function of the human body and affect a variety of disease conditions. The aim of the present study was to identify the effect of the prone position and semirecumbent position for oxygen saturation and comfort level children under five years with pneumonia. The study design was quasi experimental with pre-posttest control group design. Thirty-six children under five years with pneumonia aged 0-59 months were divided into three groups; prone position group (n = 12), semirecumbent position group (n = 12) and control group (n = 12), were taken by consecutive sampling. Statistical Analysis using Wilcoxon, Paired t test and Kruskal-Wallis. There is significant difference of the oxygen saturation level at semirecumbent group. There are no significant difference of the comfort levels in all groups. Semirecumbent position can be applied to improve oxygenation status of children under five years with pneumonia
