ABSTRAK
Ketersediaan gas di Indonesia yang berkisar empat setengah kali lipat jumlahcadangan minyak terutama dimanfaatkan di Indonesia dalam bentuk gas sumur(wellhead) maupun Liquified Natural Gas (LNG). Harga minyak yang turun drastispada pertengahan tahun 2014 dan diperkirakan akan bernilai rendah hingga dua tahunmendatang ini dapat mempengaruhi kelayakan bisnis pengangkutan gas, sehinggaharga gas distribusi mengalami kendala dalam berkompetisi dengan harga dieseluntuk industri. Penelitian ini menunjukkan adanya korelasi yang erat antara hargaLNG dan harga diesel dengan harga minyak, tetapi harga gas sumur relatif tidakdipengaruhi oleh harga minyak dan cenderung lebih terikat pada regulasipemerintahan setempat. Pada Mei 2016, ketika harga minyak (ICP) berkisar US$44,68/barel, harga gas distribusi relatif kompetitif terhadap harga diesel jika sumbergas terdiri dari 100% gas sumur atau kombinasi maksimal 50% LNG dan 50% gassumur. Dengan membuat variasi pada harga minyak (ICP) antara US$ 20-70/barel,untuk sumber gas 100% LNG, harga gas distribusi relatif tidak kompetitif terhadapharga diesel pada keseluruhan variasi harga minyak. Pada penggunaan 100% gassumur, harga minyak minimum agar harga gas distribusi masih relatif kompetitifterhadap harga diesel adalah US$ 20/barel. Sementara itu, untuk sumber gas 50%LNG dan 50% gas sumur, harga minyak minimum agar harga gas distribusi masihrelatif kompetitif terhadap harga diesel adalah US$ 50/barel. Artinya, penggunaan diatas 50% LNG saat ICP di bawah US$ 50/barel akan menyebabkan menurunnyakeuntungan pada bisnis pengangkutan gas bahkan dapat menimbulkan terjadinyapenggantian penggunaan energi dari gas ke diesel.

ABSTRACT
The amount of Indonesian gas reserve which is about four-and-a-half timesbigger than the amount of oil reserve is mostly used in Indonesia in the form ofwellhead gas as well as Liquified Natural Gas (LNG). The oil price which rapidlydeclined in the midst of 2014 and is predicted to stay low until the next two years caninfluence the reasonable value of gas transportation business, that the distributed gasprice will have difficulty in competing with the industrial diesel price. This researchshows certain correlations between LNG and diesel price with oil price. Meanwhile,the wellhead gas price is relatively not influenced by oil price but is prone to beregulated by local government. In May 2016, at ICP about US$ 44,68/barrel, thedistributed gas price is relatively competitive to diesel price for gas sources startingfrom 100% wellhead gas to a combination of maximum 50% LNG and 50% wellheadgas. By making variations of ICP between US$ 20-70/barrel, using 100% LNGsource, the distributed gas price will not be relatively competitive to diesel price in allICP variations. Using 100% wellhead gas source, the minimum oil price causing thedistributed gas price to become relatively competitive to diesel price is US$ 20/barrel.Meanwhile, using 50% LNG and 50% wellhead gas source, the minimum oil pricecausing the distributed gas price to become relatively competitive to diesel price isUS$ 50/barrel. This means that the use of more than 50% LNG at ICP below US$50/barrel will lead to the decline of profit in gas transportation business and can evenresult in energy utilization switch from gas to diesel.
