ABSTRAK
Rokok merupakan faktor resiko utama dari penyakit jantung, kanker, penyakit parukronis, kanker mulut dan tenggorokan. Perilaku merokok bahkan dapat kita jumpaipada kelompok umur yang lebih muda, yakni pelajar sekolah. Penelitian inibertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh peringatan kesehatan bergambar padakemasan rokok terhadap intensi berhenti merokok Siswa SMA laki-laki denganmenggunakan studi cross sectional. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan pada siswaSMA di Makassar yang dihitung berdasarkan rumus uji hipotesis beda proporsiyaitu 96 responden dari SMU, 64 responden dari SMK, 11 responden dari MA.Tingkat efektivitas pengaruh kesehatan bergambar pada kemasan rokok terhadapintensi berhenti merokok Siswa SMA laki-laki diukur dengan menggunakankuesioner. Seluruh gambar memiliki hubungan yang signifikan dengan intensiberhenti merokok responden, yaitu gambar 1 dengan nilai p = 0,001, gambar 2dengan nilai p = 0,001, gambar 3 dengan nilai p = 0,002, gambar 4 dengan nilai p= 0,001 dan gambar 5 dengan nilai p = 0,004. Dari keseluruhan variabel independenyang diduga paling kuat mempengaruhi intensi berhenti merokok pada respondenadalah Gambar 4 dengan p value < 0,05. Dengan nilai OR sebesar 2,7 yang artinyaGambar 4 memberikan peluang 2,7 kali menyebabkan tingginya intensi berhentimerokok siswa.

ABSTRACT
Smoking is the main risk factor of heart disease, cancer, chronic lung disease,cancer of the mouth and throat. Smoking behavior can even be encountered in theyounger age groups, the students of the school. This study was purposed to analyzethe impact pictorial health warnings on cigarette packs toward the intentions to quitsmoking of male high school students by using the cross sectional study. Samplingis done on high school students in Makassar, which is calculated based on theformula of hypothesis test different proportions of high school at 96 respondents,64 respondents from SMK, 11 respondents from MA. The effectiveness of pictorialhealth effect on cigarette packs to the intention to quit smoking male high schoolstudents were measured using a questionnaire. The whole picture has a significantrelationship with the intention of quitting the respondents, namely figure 1 with avalue of p = 0.001, Figure 2 with p = 0.001, figure 3 with p = 0.002, Figure 4 withp = 0.001 and figure 5 with p = 0.004. The total of independent variables thatsuspect the most strongly influence on respondents' intention to quit smoking isFigure 4 with p value <0.05. With OR of 2.7, which means Figure 4 provides 2.7times the chance of causing high intention to quit smoking students
